CaptinChu responds:

Thanks! lol, nice to hear someone like this! Can't say it's my favorite, but ok. When I go back to school, I'll work on some more ochapello's.

That's the proper term. Ochapello is a pure voice musical.

I was going to...

...start flagging here, but I figured it out. I allready reviewed thisone.
I say no more, if u want it to be shh shh... ;)

Laiderdaiv responds:

What? lol

This is quite...

...interesting, indeed. Add some beat, a base line, a pad, or whatever you might think suite the song, and this could be really good!
Í don´t know if you came up with the piano yourself or not, but I assume you did. Anyway, it´s really good. It is a liiiittle untight in places, but that adds to the "real" feeling it gives.
Quality however, was extremley bad, and unfortunatley that brings down the song a whole lot.
Get a better soundrecording program/mic/whatever you use for recording, improve it.
This shows some talent, and could be really really good, keep on working!

JAPPO312 responds:

Thank you, I used a 4 dollar mic, and I just winged it. Next time Ill add more sounds, better recording software and mic, and play it completely right (I had about 2 mistakes) sorry about the other song XD

Parodies are...

...often well made, one way or another, be it the quality itself, performance, overall humour or other. This is not good anywhere, just the fact u call it "Techno Crap (Parody)" makes me wanna go to sleep. What kind of responce did you even expect from this?

JAPPO312 responds:

Okay I couldnt explain this in the explanation: This song is more of someone in the movie, playing it. Bruce Faucloner is in his house, composing this crap, and then he says "Hot damn im good" im sorry it's just a comedy. It's more of a sound, not a song. I didnt expect good reviews, nor good rateings, But the part where the song is played is hopefully going to be funny! Sorry i bored you :)

Yea this was really chilled...

...out indeed.
However, it sounded like the strings were just a liiiitle out of tune...
Anyway, nice work on thisone mate! Ive listeened through a couple of your songs, and like what i hear! Keep it up, Floyd :)

Tancrisism responds:

Thanks man. Hah..Floyd.

2:nd best song ever

Lol-lol.

super-pollum responds:

OW yeah I'm good :P.

Dude...

...this shit aint yourr doing. Tell me you did more than the beats on this song, and the looping on the beat section, and i will personally appologise to you in an e-mail.
However I doubt i will, cause this song is simply stolen from the warcraft3 intro, and then a beat, that didnt even fit in good (technical issues; beat was too high on the freq. scale and too loud, compared with the rest of the song. There seem to have been no compression present even, wich would give the song a cool "bounce" othevice. That snare+clap was simply pure shit. U seemed to have a low qual version of the original WC3 song too, wich fkd things up even worse).

So nah man, this stuff u call "your doing", wich you do by submitting the song, is just a pure fucking lie, and you should e-mail liljim or wade at once, and tell them you´re sorry cause u made a mistake, have them remove the song before u get banned from submitting music.
I shall not even bother voting on thisone, since i expect you to follow my suggestion.
If you think I´m hard on you, I suggest you read the rules for submitting music to newgrounds one more time....

Fury responds:

First of all, I don't need to follow your suggestion. I make music with my own unique style, and my own personal way. When I added a drum pattern to the original score, I personally thought It was well put together, along with all the people who left a good review. But if you don't like my drum patterns on this song then that's YOUR problem now isn't it? Don't tell me my quality was low, because it was not... It's plain to hear... The quality is good. You can also stop making false accusations, because this score was not STOLEN as you claim, it was remixed, and I stated that in the description. When you said the beat didn't even fit that good, that's your opinion. All you said up there was pure opinion, no facts stated what so ever. I'm not going to e-mail anyone to tell them to take down the song. I have done nothing wrong. I said it was a Wow song I remixed. Yea, I did read the rules, and if you are following them so strictly then go give everyone on NG who loops music and adds to them a poor review like this one. Because I'm sure I'm not the only one who has done this. So lay off my back you hater

I never really...

...checked your audio, so i decided to take a look at your stuff.
I have to say it´s much better than i expected.
This song, at least (only ive heard so far), is well composed and have a really cool sound to it. Gotta love the piano in the beginning, no? :D
The song has alot to it, even vocoded lyrics (yay!)
There are a few technical issues that felt they could have been better though. First, the overall mix felt very treble-ish, stronger subbass, or simply some multi-band eq´ing to the lower frequences would be good. The beat felt pretty descent, but the snare fetl way too hard. I weill even be so bold saying that i think the basedrum should have a lil less beatings on it. It messes up a lil, and even thought theres a good flow in the song, i honestly think that a simply 1/4 beat would give a better feel to this song, since the isnteruments overall are so trance-dance-ish.
One last technical issue i thought was bad, was the panning. way too much sound to the right in many parts, you should automate the panning in places when needed, so it dont get "stuck". Try ecperimenting using panning as an effect, it usually adds alot to the song.

Still yeah, i think this was a cool song, i really liked the chords and the overall sound of this, and thats more important than the technical issues, since the real difficultie in making music aint the technical shit, that anyone can learn :)

Khuskan responds:

A deep and helpful review! Rarely found on the portal these days. All this stuff you've said gives me an excuse for another release, i'll get playing about :-) Thanks a lot.

Cool stuff man...

...I´m a fan of your doings mate, u got some real talent going on!
This track is really "Helix" souding, with the swirling beats and "ongoing" rythms.
One thing I reacted on in this song was that the snare in the beginning felt very dry, and powerless. Later on when it got boosted by the hihat, or whatever, it fell perfectly in place though!
I really like your breakdowns, very well placed and smoothly performed. This is needed indeed, since it IS quite the monotone stuff u got going on.
Anyway, thats whats keeps it "chewing".
Nice panning and stereo fell to the song and very good mastering overall here!
I´d like to praise u for yet another kickass song! Nice job! U keep your standard high and improve even!

Helix6 responds:

Thanks a lot. This song kind of came together in a matter of hours, it had just been floating around for weeks. I was sick of messing with it so figured I would release it and see what everyone thought. Thanks for the feedback.

I really love...

...the way you use them industrial beat-samples. Do you sample them yourself?
You have a knack for coming up with really cool rythms in your stuff. This song was indeed a lil different from the rest of your stuff, but listening to the beatwork, it sure is Helix sound :)
There is one thing that you could do with these songs you´ve put here on this site to make them sound better (in my ears). A simple pad that shifts a couple of times, maybe not throughout the whole song, but in places where it fits. With this your songs might loose a little of the industrial pump they have, but they might gain a little more "melodic feel" to it. I hope you know what im talking bout here ...
Anyway, this song was really rich, and if you wanted to experiment with that pad i mentioned, u might as well just use some of the instruments/pads you allready have in there. For example that half-glitched dark synth going on. Make it 4 different tones in some places or something....

Keep up the excellent work mate!

/Rucklo

Helix6 responds:

Thank you and acknowledged. I have been listening to a bit more classical music lately, and hope to integrate some of the more symphonic sounds in my music. I definitely believe that modern music in a lot of ways is lacking in melodic beauty, but sadly it takes a lot of talent to really pull off. :) Thanks for the review.
