oh...

...i never go around to review this it seem!

overall i like what you did with the tune, the panned reece sounds gritty and sweet. it has a good beat going on, though there's a SERIOUS lack of sub. another con would be the intro, it's really drowning with reverb.
productionvice it's ok though, this is exactly how remixes should be - save some of the original elements, and bring alot of new ones innit. i just don't feel the red thread somehow, there are things going on to give anticipation of what's to come throughout the song, i just don't buy them. perhaps the beat needs more versatility. all the way through the tune.
after the breakdown there's a sine-like synth that may have been meant to be a sub? it's at least one octave too high for that, if that's the intention.

the breakdown was really cool, btw.

so overall, a cool remix right here!

Quarl responds:

Are you sure you can't hear that sub I put through out most of the track? More presence maybe?

hahaaa!

i never learned to pronounce shallashshlsalhslhalh-1, so i have five minutes to waste on pointless tings. i'll go toss that turtle for five, i think... ^___^

Coop responds:

Well, that's a life-changing moment and this audio piece has done its job - you didn't make the same mistake as me, learning to pronounce Shalashaska and finding out that you'd wasted your time.

yayayayaya!

the intro, with the pitch-falling going on really builds an awesome expectation.

really like it when the strings comes in, this really do have an epic feel to it.

the dynamical balance is smooth, but perhaps it could have been worked with a little more, especially the long woodwindinstrument-note at the very end.

perhaps you could have worked a little more with the percussion, it just doesn't quite fulfill what the intro promise.

still, amazing track right here, buddy! keep em coming! :D

Arbiter responds:

Thanks!
I actually agree with you on the drums and their dynamic being, well - lacking.
But I really felt that they were a better fit than anything I tried to create.
And the instrument is actually brass, a trombone and a french horn if I remember correctly.
Anyhow: Much obliged that you came to review - means alot :)

weeeell...

ah man, i love your lyrics. whatever happened to myheadisaballoon anyway? :D

Kingbastard responds:

well hello there ruckie:P
He still makes stuff, infact he's working on a new album as I write this, some lofi madness:)

Another lovley tune!

Love it when you toss them killers out man! Thisone had a really good VG-styled theme to it!
I couldn't help but getting the feeling that the beat felt kindof dry and somewhat empty, I dunno, maybe not enough happened innit or whatever.
Still that doesn't really matter, the rest of the tune easily weigh that up, and the stabs are top notch as always!

love these wibes

everything was smooth and really really inspirational, until the piano came in. my problem is the piano-samples chosen, they're stale and feels very pre-set - which can be cool, if it goes well with the tune. but this doesnt, it simply doesnt sit well in the mix.

the octave-up towards the end... i dunno, i can go for those, but production-vice it "just happened", there was no build to make the transition smooth at all. not saying that there have to be a build so the listener will understand that it's gonna happen, but the transition just wasn't a good one.

the background-beat and the pad that plays the first 40 sec is HOT! the sample that comes in, some kind of hihat/triangle/whatever and gets panned around - love it. the breakdown around 1.30 - love it.

overall, this tune is fucking awesome. it does lack something however, it feels like its getting slightly repetitive towards the end - despite the octave going up. possibly would be good to introduce something new, perhaps some distinct yet not all too space-taking beat-loop or whatever.

still, love this shit, hope you're still around to submit stuff, haven't seen you around in a few months!

OMFG

yuo gotta send me the guitar-file so i can have sex with it on the full version of the tun OMGOMGOMGOMGOM ^___________________^

Bad-Man-Incorporated responds:

liking this...

this tune was pretty cool, it brings my thoughts to a nobelfamily-scenario a sunny day during the 1700 or so... :)

Xenoscape responds:

yeah, it does sound a mite bit rustic now that I think about it! kind of like a rpg or something.

Freaking awesome tune!

Loving this man! It has a really childish touch to it, the atmosphere really takes me away to a colourful dreamland!

Would you mind adding the lyrics in the song description?
